BFAC pics 2009

2 of mine........... ( I am going to let Colleen post her's).

The photo's were a struggle because the face printed lighter than I planned.

Mine was a struggle.

I constructed the doll body without a formal pattern .

Then couldn't figure out how to attach the arms (thank you Dot !!).

And then there was the bosom issue........

And the butt -- how do you make a shapely butt?

But I learned SO much from this.

I have a new respect for doll makers.

And my new goal is to do a series of Self Portraits.

One of the struggles was actually putting my face ON the doll.

It was an enlightenment for me.

With all that faldarol .... I give you the first in a series:

Katie in the Eighties (complete with mullett)

She looks great & remember...you'll have me for almost 6 days in October so we can work on some of the doll form issues so you can have pretty shapely buttocks in the future! LOL

Oh... how I LOVE it! My first reaction was a big smile, I think you've done a great job. And a self portrait - a bold and brave move. I applaud you... BRAVO!

Thank you Dot and Grace!
Dot -- be careful, you have created a monster!

Thank you Grace -- I have a big smile after reading your compliments!

Oh, what a fun doll. I can believe that it/she was a learning experience but, very obviously, a good one.
Really amazing.

She's gorgeous! what a great job, construction and embellishment. And I love that you used your own face, too. Can't wait to see the rest of the series.
