Well, the weather INDEED is quite frightful -- for Atlantic City.
We don't get snow -- with the salt air of the ocean, snow accumulation is rare.
In the past 24 hours, we have over 15 inches -- closer to 18.
Now add in the wind gusts up to 25 and 30 mph and that gives drifts !
The street has been plowed (in our subdivision) by the landscaping company.
Several times.
No sidewalks are clear.
We can't even see the Christmas decorations in the front yard.
I cleared off the cars twice yesterday.
The second time was before the sleet started.
No matter how much He argued about doing it, I am glad I did -- at least it isn't snow/ice/more snow.
Uncovering the cars again will be a chore.
But that's ok.
It has to be done in prep for tomorrow for work.
And once again a path will have to be cleared in the back yard so that the dogs can "do their business".
It's pretty.
This much is rare for the Shore.
But I've enjoyed it.
I would have enjoyed getting down to the Boardwalk to take pictures of the snow on the Beach.
That isn't going to happen.
Maybe next time when we have a few inches less.
Colleen baked cookies all day yesterday.
I felt like my nose was turning in to a sugar detector.
Not sure how she stood it all day -- I would have been crazed at one point.
Cookies are not a "big thing" for me.
BUT, I was able to convince her to save the Butterscotch ones for MEEEEEEEEeeeeee !
That was the one I liked the best (oh I only tasted two of the nine-gazillion ones she baked).
I wasn't NEARLY as efficient as she was: I beaded and napped.

Wow... that's a LOT of snow! Will it be clear in time to drive to work tomorrow? That would be such a shame if it wasn't ;-)
